How do I find friends?
Go to the “Community Search” section
Add the criteria you are looking for:
You can add as many criteria as you want.
“Match all criteria”
means that all of the items you have selected will be present in the user profiles that show up.
“Match any criteria”
means that the profiles that show up will have one or more of the criteria you selected
To search a profile type:
Choose
“Profile type”
as criteria
Choose
“Equals”
Type
"
Parent/Family member, Professional, Adult with special needs, I know someone with special needs"
Send the friend request
.
The user will review and either confirm or deny the request.
Under the
“Friends”
tab you can see requests you have sent as well as request you have yet to approve.
What is Friend Suggest?
eSpecialMatch.com suggests possible friends to you based on your user info including state, interests, profession, and child diagnosis.
To add the suggested user as a friend, click their avatar.
Can I invite friends from my contact list?
We encourage users to share eSpecialMatch.com with their friends.
Go to the
“Invite Friends”
link.
Type or cut and paste email addresses into the address section.
Add a message.
